FAQ
Maple Ridge Campground was established in 2015 and there are some questions we get asked on a regular basis. We have listed them below with a brief explanation. Any additional questions, please just ask.
Dogs: Do you allow dogs?
Yes we are a dog friendly campground. We have a dog park near the entrance to the campground. All dogs must be contained at all times, mostly quiet, and cleaned up after please.
Firewood: Can I bring my own firewood?
We follow the same rules at Indiana State Parks. Please only bring in debarked or certified firewood. Please burn or leave any firewood you do bring into the campground. We also sell firewood bundles at our campstore.
Bathhouse: Do you offer a bathhouse?
We offer an updated and clean bathhouse centrally located at our campground that is accessible 24/7. Each side offers a coin operated washer and dryer as well.
Extra Tents: Can I set up multiple tents on one campsite?
We allow only 1 camping unit (1 tent or 1 RV) per campsite. The only exception is we allow children (under 18 years old) to enjoy the "camping experience" in a tent on the same site as their parents RV. Multiple families will need to reserve multiple campsites.
Golf Carts: Do you rent golf carts?
We do not offer golf cart rentals but you may bring your own golf cart. No other motorized vehicles allowed. We just need proof of insurance, only driven by licensed drivers (no children driving) and they must be put away during quiet hours.
Alcohol: Can we drink/party all night long?
We are a FAMILY campground first and foremost. You may drink but it needs to stay on your campsite and not become an issue in any way. We STRONGLY enforce quiet hours. Party at the State Park Campground please.
Potato Creek State Park: How close are you to the state park?
We are 3.5 miles east of Potato Creek State Park. The park is easily accessible by car but not by bicycle or walking.
Ice: Do you sell ice?
Our campstore offers ice (and firewood) 24/7 by making cash payment in our dropbox.
Laundry: Do you have onsite laundry machines?
Each side of the bathhouse has 1 washing machine and 1 dryer (coin operated). We can exchange bills for coins during business hours.
Check-in and Checkout: What if we need to arrive after your campstore closes?
Normal check-in is any time after 2pm and normal checkout is any time before noon. Early check- in or late checkout (if available) is $15. If you arrive after the campstore closes, please refer to your email receipt for your site number. Maps are available on the front porch of the house and campstore. For normal check-in please follow the directions on the site at the entrance.
Visitors: What if family and friends want to hang out with us?
The camping rate is based on 2 adults and up to 4 kids under the age of 18. Daily visitors need to pay the daily visitor fee and use our hangtag for parking their vehicle. Please pay for ALL guests. We allow a maximum of 6 people per campsite after 11pm. Additional overnight guests will need to reserve their own campsite.
Winter Camping: Do you offer camping all year long?
We are a seasonal campground. Our season runs from May 1 to near the end of October. We do not offer year-round camping. Seasonal campers may leave their RV onsite year-round by paying the deposit for the next camping season.
Group Camping: Do you offer discounts to camping clubs or groups?
We are a small campground with a limited number of nightly and weekly campsites. We do not offer group discounts and cannot really accommodate large (more than 5 sites) groups.
Activities: What activities and amenities do you offer?
Please refer to our Activities and our Amenities tabs on our website. They offer detailed descriptions and pictures of what we have to offer. Also follow/like us on Facebook and Instagram to see updates as well.
